Framing Tips
We're here to help you create beautiful displays in the most convenient and affordable way. All of the prints sold at The Small Studio are shipped to you frameless. It is far less expensive for you to pick up a reusable frame at your local shop or second hand store.
If you're unsure on where to start please consider the helpful tips below:
Choose the right frame: Your print doesn't have to go in a frame that matches precisely with the paper dimensions. Prints mounted in larger frames stand out and allows the artwork to shine. You should consider the space you're thinking of displaying your artwork in carefully before deciding on the frame size.
Consider matting: Matting helps adds depth and visual interest. It also prevents the artwork from touching the glass or the cover of the frame. Apart from protecting your prints, it also enhances them.

Where to buy affordable frames:
Ikea
My personal favourite is the HOVSTA FRAME from Ikea. They're great quality and are super lightweight, perfect for hanging in children's rooms.
Kmart
You'll also find great value frames at KMART. Most of these frames have perspex screens which makes them very lightweight and easy to hang.
